FABRIC SELECTION

Every Rêve piece begins with fabric. Materials are sourced first and tested carefully through touch, wear, movement, and repeated washing. This is the most important decision we make. Out of many options, only a few are ever selected. Softness, comfort, breathability, and responsible qualities guide every choice.

MATERIAL TRANSFORMATION

Many of our fabrics begin as wood pulp and are carefully transformed into soft fibres through a considered process. For materials such as TENCEL™, the pulp is refined and purified becoming a breathable, lightweight fibre. This transformation is designed to preserve softness while reducing environmental impact, resulting in a fabric that feels gentle on the skin.

TESTING & REFINEMENT

Once a fabric is chosen, it is tested extensively. We wash it repeatedly, wear it over time, and test how it reacts to movement. Embroidery is developed and refined to ensure it feels gentle on the skin. Every detail is reviewed carefully, not only for how it looks, but for how it feels when worn.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Design follows feel. Shapes, fits, and details are developed alongside an experienced team, adjusting proportions and finishes until each piece feels natural on the body. Nothing moves forward unless it feels right.

FACTORY SELECTION

Choosing the right factories is an intentional part of our process. Designs are sent to selected partners for testing to assess quality, craftsmanship, and consistency. In some cases, we work with more than one factory, for example one specialised in embroidery and another in garment production, allowing each step to be handled by those who do it best.

PRODUCTION

Once the final factories are selected, production begins. Patterns are cut, garments are sewn, and each piece is assembled with care. Being closely involved allows us to oversee every stage and ensure our standards are met throughout the process.

FINISHING & PACKAGING

-        After production, each piece is carefully reviewed, refined, and prepared for its final presentation. Once every detail feels soft, balanced, and comfortable, the garment is carefully folded and placed in sustainable packaging designed to protect the piece while reflecting the care behind its creation.
